Pick up from Hikkaduwa hotel and Drive to Ratnapura. En route Sightseeing
rubber plantations, paddy fields and tea estates. You will visit the Bopath
Ella water falls with a height of approximately 100 feet or 30 meters. After
that we will visit one of the famous gem mines of Ratnapura. Gems such as the
Blue, Star and Yellow Sapphires, Cat’s Eyes, Rubies, Alexandrites, Amethysts,
Zircons, Topaz and Tourmalines are found here. There will be an opportunity to
watch a gem cutter and polisher at work and also visit at a lapidary. After we proceed
to the Negombo or Colombo airport.

gems” wile ‘pura’ means city ‘the city of gems’

provincial capital of Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka and the Ratnapura
